sunday i race 1000m : 1M12.96 and team pursuit where french team got 10th place.

today was 5km... i did 6m41.30....so i was ranked 12th...

1500m: ranking 7th

today pascal got 7th in 1500M race in B-group.

world cup in moscow

last week end was the 3rd world cup in moscow...

saturday i finished 11th in the 1500m....in 1M50.67 top 9th got points for world cup...so i'm getting closer....

sunday i did my 2nd 10 000m race...i did 13m44 (14m02 before) so new personal best on this distance.... cool news for the french team, tristan loy won with a new national record:13m14

one week in france...

last week was time for a easier week in france. i could spend time to check training from some inline skater in Nantes (thomas, cindy etc) and do all the things to try to get a visa for Russia... not so easy... my 1st demand is refused...

but yesterday i finally got a tourism visa...so if it arrive in netherland in time;..i will be able to go and compete in Kolomna...

today Briand Pascal did a new PB and a new french national record 1500m. the record was hold by Cedric Kuentz. Pascal finish 12th in B group with a time of 1M47.24

3 new personal best in WC salt lake city

last week end was the world cup ice speed skating in slat lake city, utah. pascal did 3 new personal best time in his 3 races.

1500m: 1m48.2

5000m: 6m33.12

next week end is the wc in calgary, canada...

2 new personal best on 500M and 3000M

this morning pascal did 2 new personal best time: 500m with 37sec55 and 3000m with 3m49sec21....so that was french national record....for 10minutes ^^ cause then A. contin did a 3m46.67....

in salt lake city....utah jazz loose against houston rockets... that was areally good show...

new PB on 1000m: 1m12.00

sunday morning Pascal Briand did a new personal best on 1000m... with a 1M12.00 . his older record was 1m12.45 also in salt lake city ice. it s now 2 weeks before the 1st world cup race...

new personal best 1500m

today pascal briand did a new personal best in 1500m race during the american cup in slat lake city, utah. that was 1st 1500m from the season for pascal, that race against roger schneider.

by the way roger schneider did also a new PB and new swiss national record...

criterium race in sneek: 3rd place

last week was the criterium race from Sneek. 45min and 5lap of 1,2 km on the nice windy circuit in sneek. as always, netherland race are super well organised, and skater ready to attack. after 3laps the sprint ranking start: it s like a point race, 3, 2, 1 pts during 3 laps in a row, alexis contin from powerslide won in front of pascal briand.

after many breakaway from netherland skater, arjan mombarg always bring back the peloton to make a sprint for sjoerd huisman. in the final sprint, the nefit skater won in front of alexis contin and pascal briand.

the end of inline season is coming soon, but still some big

event to train for...mainz an berlin. between european and mainz it s about 2months of training , so it s opportunity to do some more weight lifting, and also sometimes short track with thierry...

training camp in berlin

Pascal was in training camps in berlin with witek mazur (poland) and thierry fortler (short track coach). so it was first contact with ice since end of february.

next week end: xrace , class1 (inline)

pictures relay 3km

european champion relay 3km

yesterday evening the french team won the relay 3km at the european championship. briand/pelloquin/guyader show in the heat that they could lead the race and take 30m advantage on other team. inthe final france race 3km always 20m in front of a 5 other team. italy took 2nd place in front of germany.

by the way pascal get is 14th european tittle and nicolas pelloquin is 1st one in senior...

european championship

2nd days at european championship: 1000m and elimination race. 1st race of the european for pascal briand, thomas boucher and nicolas pelloquin in the 1000m. pascal finished 5th in a classic final with 3 italian and 3 french. this team fight get won by L.presti in front of T.boucher.

workshop in DK

last week pascal was in danemark for a workshop in the inline club from Slagelse. With the skater from the club and the coach Jens, we talked about training and technic. Slagelse has a super bank track of 200m and a nice fast road of 300m.

workshop was about how to get good draft in a pack, individual technic and how to take the perfect line on a bank track...

french marathon championship, inline

last week end was the 5km time trial and 70km in damgan.
the 5.2km lap for the time trial was made of a 2km uphill with small % and a 1.5km downhill and a flat finish. Boucher won with a 8m24.1 followed by Fernandez 8m24.9. Pascal got 3rd with 8m28. 4sec behind this year , 12sec last year ... so Pascal is getting more fit than last year.
70km was just made of many attacked and finally the young Hascouet (lamballe) won the sprint a a gourp of 5 that breakaway 15 km from the finish.
the championship was followed by a national training camp in valence d agen.

back on inline ...

ice season is finish for pascal. after he get 9th in the world cup Bgroup in erfurt at the 1500m, he went back in france. one week of rest, and work with the junior national team from inline skating he went to belgium for coach 4 cadets in a race.

now, inline season restart in france with the national championship 70km in Damgam end of march, then there is a training camps for the national seleciton seniors, a race FIC in nimes then world inline cup in seoul...
